Adding Additional Data nodes to the Apigee Environment

Not applicable

Hi Folks

I am wondering how easy it is to edit the current cluster of Cassandra and Zookeeper nodes. We are running Apigee on premiss and have since been advised that we have a second environment installation in another data centre.

How easy is it to just add these additional nodes into the configuration? Do you simply edit the cassandra-topology.properties.yaml and add the additional nodes along with the zoo.cfg with the additional server IPs and then restart the processes.

Best,

Mark

@Mark Lehmann Yes, it should be straight firward enough. You have most of the steps right. However, we recommend following the operations doc while you do this so that you don't miss out any important step. If you are setting up a new datacenter for Cassandra, the steps are documented as well. If you run into any issues, you can always reach out to Apigee support.

I will try to find out if there's an existing article on this, so that you can follow the same.
