If you exceed the free usage limits of Apigee Developer (the freee, non-expiring trial cloud) then Apigee will reach out via email notification to discuss your expected usage growth.

If you exceed the free usage limits, Apigee will not throttle your API except at very high volumes as a measure to protect the service of the other Apigee Developer cloud users.
