Time Format in Gmail

Hi Team

One of my customers not able to Change the Time Format from 24hrs to 12Hrs in their GMail. There is no option in Admin Console to effect this change.

We have asked to do the change at user level in their Calender Settings. But time format is not getting  changed.

Is there any other method we can change the time format for all users centrally using the admin console?

Regards

Just a guess: does it happen regardless of which computer they’re on? (I’m wondering if maybe it’s a setting in the OS, not Google…)

Unfortunately, there is no real setting for this, neither in Gmail, nor in the Admin console. What Gmail does is look at the language and region you have set. For example, if you set English (US), you will get the 12 hour format, as that is the default for the USA. If you set the language in Gmail to English (UK), however, you will get the 24 hour time format, as that is what is being used in the UK.

This applies to pretty much all regional formats, by the way. Date display, currency display, decimal delimiters, even some names of labels (e.g. when set to English (US), you get "Trash", when set to English (UK), you get "Bin" instead).

So in a nutshell: Select a language and region in Gmail that uses 24 hour time format.
