Merge Contacts

Hello everyone, I need to understand how it is possible to make a union (with automatic synchronization) of the various contacts that each member of the same domain (Directory) has.

In summary, being able to have a single "cauldron" of contacts perhaps in the admin account of the directory.

Thanks everyone for the answers.

Hi @GiulioBiroli

We have a third-party tool that can help in putting in common contacts of all users of your directory. The sync is automatic but it implies a bit of manual setup.

Here is how you can do:

1. Install Shared Contacts for Gmail (you can also find it on the Google Workspace Marketplace)

2. The programm will retrieve the Google Contacts and labels of all your users

3. Create a label (e.g. "Common Contacts")

4. Share the label with a a group containing all the usrrs of your directory (or you can select the users one by one)

5. Make sure to give "Can Delete" permission to all of them.

6. Ask people to drag and drop from the app or from Google Contacts Interface all the contacts they want to share.

7. The label "Common Contacts" will now contain all the contacts of everybody and everyone will be able to access them from everywhere in Google Wokrspace.

8. in the background the app will merge duplicates and synchronize the label with the Google Contacts of all the users.

Don't hesitate if you have any questions !

You might want to have a look at https://patronum.io/.

Contact sharing is great and easy to set up and there are some other features that will make your life as a workspace admin a lot easier!
