SSD quote exceeded with no disks allocated

My "gcloud compute disks list" command reports no disks allocated but my SSD quota is maxed out at 500GB so I'm blocked from deploying new clusters.

Are there orphaned disks consuming this resource?  I did have a failed deploy earlier.

After waiting several hours disk quota consumption still lists 500GB with no visible disks in sight.

Any tips???  Is the 500GB a limit of currently deployed storage or an integral over some time period?

Pls advise :-). Thx!

nm...seems like it was a caching issue for freeing the storage, quota now at 0%

all good :-). thx

HI,

What is your new quota request size? Practically if you ask for some reasonable size (1-10s Tb) it should be approved automatically, but if you put 1 Pb for example you will way support engineers and answer why you need soo big storage 🙂

I'm having the same problem. After near 6h, no updates. Also, the graph looks not updated at all. No disk anywhere.

Something is wrong in the GCP side. After around 24h with this problem, I was able to create a small VM attaching a 30GB SSD disk. Then, suddenly, quota usage moved from 480GB to 30GB as expected!!
