Websocket support for APIGEE edge

the requirement is to build a APIGEE proxy to connect to a graphQL subscription point (websocket) to get the streaming event after oAuth authentication and then need to publish to Kafka topic with a specific structure. please note that publishing to kafka topic via kafka restAPI.

Do we have ability to connect to websocket and get the data via APIGEE Edge?

Unfortunately, Apigee Edge doesn't support web sockets. However there's the Envoy Adapter which does

However, Apigee X and Hybrid both natively support websockets. Moving forward, X and Hybrid will continue to receive updates and improvements like this whereas Edge will remain the same.
