Update attributes without changing key

I need to update an APP. I'm trying to update the attributes but when executing it, it doesn't update me. I can update the atriobuto when I remove the consumerkey, but it brings me 2 created credentials

You didn't say which version of Apigee you're using.  

But it is possible to update custom attributes on a credential or key or app or developer, using the Apigee API.  

If you have a specific test case that shows it does not work, please share. But I'm pretty sure it works, so if you find that it does not, then you might be doing something wrong.
