Redis has been added, what is it for?

Redis has been added to the runtime plane in version 1.5. However, the documentation doesn't explain how to use it.

Is it possible to use it from the API Proxy?

It is not possible (not supported) to directly connect with the embedded Redis.

The Redis is there to support the updated rate limiter in v1.5.
