Istio with Apigee X

Dear All,

We are planning to use Istio service mesh for inter micro service calls and Apigee for North South traffic(External). Recent documentation of Istio mentions that Mixer had been deprecated, which has a cascading effect on Apigee ability to use its plugin to administer the APIs through istio. Has anybody encountered this scenario with the latest updates of service mesh and how have you tackled it?
