Issues delegating request flows through technical proxy using apigee-emulator:1.6.1

I am testing the use of gcr.io/apigee-release/hybrid/apigee-emulator:1.6.1 the container works like a charm on local endpoints, but I'm facing issues when trying to reach endpoints through a proxy server.

How should I configure a proxy server settings for apigee-emulator? So far I have tried to fetch them  as parameters for the container (HTTPS_PROXY, HTTP_PROXY) - but no luck.

Still facing the issue, any hints would be welcome - any thoughts @dchiesa1 ?

This feature request has been reported in the following Github issue: https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/cloud-code-vscode/issues/592. For others facing the same issue might be beneficial to watch it there.
