I want to validate different strings coming under URI like /city/street[1-3]/....; where street must be in one of street1, street2 or street3 and no other string should be allowable. I am planning to do this validation by using regex pattern, would such be feasible?

Yes , Apigee supports above functionality using out of the box policy regular expression protection policy. Did you get a chance to try same ?
Keep us posted if you see any issue while implementing above policy in your API Proxy to validate URI.
