As part of On premise Apigee Upgrade, client has suggested to clone prod environment in to lower environment like QA and then do the upgrade in lower environment. Once that upgrade is successful in lower environment, then we can proceed with prod upgrade.
Dev environment is a single node setup.
QA environment is 7 node setup
Prod environment is 10 node setup.
Need help with below queries on this approach.
1. Is this clone approach recommended or not
2. How can we do the clone. I'm apigee developer with somewhat exp with upgrade activities. As I checked, we can ask infra team(Unix team) to clone complete prod node setup to QA with all configurations and installations. Is this possible? How much time it may take for this proces?
3. If above clone is possible and after node setup clone As a platform team do we need to do anything here like taking a backup from prod environment and restore that in QA?
