Apigee for private cloud java version 1.8 or can we have later versions of java

Hi,

We are upgrading Apigee for private cloud(on-premise) from 4.50.00 to 4.51.00. As per the documentation, it is mentioned that "By default, the installer checks that you have Java 1.8 installed. If you do not, the installer installs it for you."

My question here, suppose we have later version of java like java 11 or later version installed on the node and we have to upgrade Apigee. In this case, do we have to downgrade the java to 1.8 while doing upgrade?

Or is it okay to proceed with the upgrade with java later versions like 11 or more?

Similarly, Supported OS versions for 4.50.00 were given as RHEL-7.8, CentOS 7.8, Oracle 7.8. Is it okay if we have latest versions of above OS for installing 4.50.00?

Thanks in advance.!
