Apigee Hybrid Support for VMware based private cloud

Hi Community,

I'd like to ask you about the support of Apigee Hybrid in a private cloud (ATI) which is VMware based.

According the following link, Anthos clusters on VMware seems to be suitable for this.

What about Anthos clusters on bare metal? Could that be used as well and what would be the main differences between these two?

If I understand correctly, Anthos is k8s flavor, basically GKE on prem. 

k8s needs nodes to run on (workrerks\master), which is a virtual machines

virtual machines need to run on some hypervisor, in your case - VMware

if you install Anthos on baremetal, how you plan to manage or configure the nodes?
