Java 1.8.0_252 is incompatible with Apigee

1 2 358

Hi All,

Recently we went for patching in our Linux servers. We had a java version update to 1.8.0_252 included in patching. After the patching completes all our APIs started failing. After long analysis we found the certificate error was showing because of Java 1.8.0_252. We found the same bug in a Jenkins article(https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-62068). Because of this, our all message processors were reporting timeout.

Once we rolled back to the 1.8.0_242 version of java all got resolved.

Priyadarshi, Thanks for contributing this. I'm going to see if I can get some other perspective on your report.

Hi Priyadarshi,

I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties. We are having issues with compatibility for Open JDK versions post 1.8.0.242, notably 1.8.0.251 and 1.8.0.252. We have listed these previously as incompatible on our Supported Software page here: https://docs.apigee.com/release/supported-software#apigeeedgeforprivatecloudsupportedversions. To make this more visible, this morning I've also posted a warning to all customers on status.apigee.com. Our expectation is this will be fixed in our upcoming patches within the next few months.

Thanks!
