We had some questions here on the Apigee community site recently regarding adding intelligence to a Developer Portal. One person wondered if it would be possible to create a ticket in a Jira system, every time a new developer registered in the developer portal. That seems like a great idea!
How would that be possible? Out of the box, the Drupal-based Developer Portal won't do that, but using the Drupal Rules module, you should be able to configure the portal to do whatever you like, upon events like: a new developer has registered, a developer has requested access to an app, and so on.
I've produced a short, 5-minute screencast showing how to enable the Drupal Rules module, and how to configure a rule that would redirect an anonymous user when they request a specific page that is available only to authenticated users.
