In this video, @Tej Ravindra from Apigee Product Team explains how easily & quickly you can able to monetize your APIs using out of the box Apigee Monetization feature.

Apigee Monetization Services allows you to manage the complete, end-to-end process of monetizing digital assets -- including creating rate plans, managing limits and notifications, configuring reports and billing documents, and modifying the system to maximize API program value. It offers an extensive degree of flexibility to create customized plans or use the "out-of-the-box" plans that cover all revenue models, including fixed and variable fees, revenue sharing, and even "freemium" plans.

Why do you need Monetization?

• If you are working with partners where digital assets are shared by revenue sharing model.
• Charge App Developers for usage of your API
• Track API Usage & Charge based on various plans

Prerequisites :

Monetization, Make sure your ORG is enabled for monetization. It's an add-on product. Not available in Apigee Edge free orgs.
