Writing Test Cases for deployed API proxies in APIGEE EDGE

I need to write test cases for proxies which I had developed. So can someone please assist me with the overall steps that I should follow.

You might want to look into apickli. The repo there gives a good startup example. 

There are numerous customers who use apickli to test their Apigee API Proxies, apparently with good results.
