Message Logging policy to splunk having \x00 characters at the end of the message - apigeex

Hi - We are using MessageLogging Policy to log the metadata to splunk for every transaction with name value pair data. For some reason, we are seeing "\x00" characters added at the end. Is it a bug in MessageLogging policy in apigeex? do we have a work around for this issue?

@dchiesa1 @kurtkanaskie , you guys know if there is a way to get rid of additional "\x00" characters from the splunk transactions that is written by Message logging policy.
