App custom attributes are lost when a developer rename the app

App custom attributes are lost when a developer rename the app. Is it a normal behaviour?

It is not possible to rename an app as both the name and appId fields are immutable. You would have to delete and recreate the app with a new name. You can update the display name. Changes to the display name do not affect the customer attributes, credentials, or any other fields of the app.

How are you attempting to rename the app?

Actually it is possible through the UI to do it. I reproduced the case this morning. 

The name field is editable.
